Cut the Cloth to suit

In these times of financial uncertainty it is imperative to keep on top of all aspects of your business, and you may need ‘cut the cloth to suit’ in respect of direct costs and overheads.

I have just had the unenviable task of making 4 positions redundant within one of the businesses that I work with, following the loss of a major contract to an aggressive competitor.

At all times it must be made clear that it is the position that is made redundant, and not the person. However this does not make it any easier as the people in those positions are respected employees, and may have been with the company for many years.

It is at times like this that you may well benefit from an outside opinion in order to make the process less personal, you may not even see a problem coming until it’s too late. If you would like a free initial consultation to discuss a business review please contact Andy Carr at

I look forward to hearing from you and moreover helping you adjust your business in order to survive and prosper in the future.
